20 Things You Didn't Know About Kelli & Nat


1.  How tall are you?
Kelli: 5'7"
Nat: 5' 5 1/2" (the 1/2" is really important to me)

2.  Do you have a hidden talent?  If so, what?
Kelli: I have an excellent memory...I remember things in exact detail from years past.
Nat: Yes, a talent for trouble. It is all in relation to my booming personality, I have no filter. JK peeps. I am a big DIY'er.

3.  What is your biggest blog-related pet peeve?
Kelli:  Word verification in the comments.  If you have it enabled, I will seriously not comment.
Nat: Freaking formatting in blogger!

4.  What is your biggest non-blog-related pet peeve?
Kelli:  Grammatical errors.
Nat: Ditto.

5.  What is your favorite song?
Kelli:  You Had Me At Hello by Kenny Chesney.  It was the song my husband and I danced to at our wedding.
Nat: I have lots of favorite songs, just think of me as a song flirt- I commit to no one.

6.  What is your favorite Etsy shop?
Kelli:  My Sweet Dreams Art.  She's done several projects for my home and I love her work!
Nat: None. I always talk myself out of everything and just make it myself.

7.  What is your favorite way to spend your free time when you're alone?
Kelli:  Besides reading, I like to write poetry and watch Netflix.
Nat: Netflix binge or take a nap. I have 3 kids, what can I say. #truthbomb

8.  What is your favorite junk food?
Kelli:  Salty and sweet things, like peanut clusters or chocolate covered pretzels.
Nat: Ice cream Snickers

9.  Do you have any pets?
Kelli:  A Russian Blue cat who has been largely ignored since I had my daughter three years ago.
Nat: Yes! I have 3 chickens that I think are the bomb!

10.  What are your favorite fiction and non-fiction books?
Kelli:  Fiction: World Without End by Ken Follett, Nonfiction: How to Be Sick by Toni Bernhard
Nat: This is a cruel question to ask. I have so many fiction favorites and I shall not discriminate. As for nonfiction: No favorite.

11.  What's your favorite beauty product?
Kelli:  My DIY moisturizer made with Young Living essential oils: It's frankincense, lavender and coconut oil mixed in a roller bottle.  My skin has never looked better!
Nat: Bumble & Bumble Dry Shampoo

12.  When were you last embarrassed?
Kelli:  When I had to thank my housekeeper for finding my daughter's toy poop that she'd lost.  I never thought I'd say, "thank you for finding Barbie's dog's poop for me."
Nat: Dang. It had to be a few months ago when I was in an online meeting with a bunch of professors and students. I was the lead instructor for the meeting. In short, I had a kid wake up, thought I put my mic on mute (put the recording on pause) and then proceeded to scream for my husband as my child was screaming bloody murder. This went on for a sold 15 seconds before I heard one of the other instructors say "Um, class it sounds like Ms. Long needs a few minutes, lets take a 3 minute break". I. COULD. HAVE. DIED.

13.  If you could drink one beverage for the rest of your life what would it be?
Kelli:  If it were zero calories? Peppermint milkshakes from Chick Fil A.
Nat: Water. I really like water.

14.  What's your favorite movie?
KelliPride and Prejudice, the 2005 version with Keira Knightley
Nat: Pitch Perfect, hands down.

15.  What were you in high school?  Prom queen, nerd, cheerleader, jock, valedictorian, band geek, loner, artist, etc?
Kelli I was a twirler and in the band, so I guess band nerd. 
Nat: I didn't fit in one spot. So I guess I was a floater. I like people.

16.  If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live?
Kelli:  Anywhere that had four real seasons.  Here in Southeast Texas we have two seasons: blistering summer and cold.  That's it.  I love Spring and Fall and we get about five days of each, total.
Nat: Hawaii.

17.  PC or MAC?
Kelli:  PC!  But I do love my iPhone.
Nat: Both. Just depends on my mood.

18.  Last romantic gesture from a crush, date, boyfriend/girlfriend?
Kelli:  My husband bought me the most beautiful watch I've ever seen as a surprise.
Nat: I had a migraine a few days ago and Sweet Stuff walked in quietly and started massaging my feet with lotion. #iwilllovehimforever

19.  Favorite celeb? 
Kelli: Eh, I don't really have one.  I've always liked Julia Roberts.  I think she's just pretty and classy. 
Nat: None.

20.  Which blogger do you secretly want to be best friends with?
Kelli:  Glennon Doyle Melton of Momastery.  Every time I read one of her posts, it feels like she's speaking directly to me.
Nat: Jenn Mann from People I want to Punch in the Throat.

    1. It's frctionated coconut oil (stays in liquid form) and you can get it at a great price It's fractionated coconut oil (stays in liquid form) and you can get it at a great price on Amazon. I will tell Kelli to give the exact recipe, I am always having to ask her what to add with what. :)

      And I can't for the life of me remember why I started calling him Sweet Stuff, but I know it was around date #2 (and he calls me Pink).

    Nat - I recommend using Windows Live Writer for composing/editing blog posts. And with the Dynamic Template plugin - HEAVEN.

    And Nat, that is my biggest fear - not muting the phone when I thought I did. OMG I feel ya!! And Pitch Perfect is a great movie! I actually didn't get why everyone was obsessed with it the first time I watched it, but once I watched it again I got it. It's one of the few movies I can rewatch over and over.
