Anything over that and I may as well get the hardcover. The thing is, I have a Kindle and there are always so many deals, even on really popular bestsellers like Gone Girl. So I often just wait it out and but it on a deal day (I certainly have enough in my TBR to keep me occupied while I wait).Laurenhttp://www.alicemarvels.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-998073617976947577.post-55133344175759287322013-03-26T08:46:42.129-05:002013-03-26T08:46:42.129-05:00I bought a Kindle almost a year ago and I've s...I bought a Kindle almost a year ago and I've spent my own money on only a handful of ebooks and they were all under $5. I refuse to spend more than that. If it's a book I really want chances are it cost the same as a physical copy (and I've see it a number of times, sometimes more). I like to hold the things I've spent my money on, so my Kindle is more for free/won and the less than $5 ebooks, than anything else. I would rather but 10 books from an author I love at a reasonable price than 1 for an astronomical price. It's the publishers that jack the price up and I do understand that they need to get paid too but dang. What also pisses me off is if you buy a book at that price and you can't even loan it to one person...come on really SMDH!! Sorry but I could get on my soapbox about this but I won't lol. Have a great day. Maybe I'd feel less guilty if I had proof that a higher price was needed to pay the author the same amount of royalties as a paper copy would create. I think books are generally over-priced and I do wonder how much not physically printing them saves.Alison Can Readhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17908868606441539344noreply@blogger.com
